Climate Change Tipping Points and Thresholds in Vanuatu

This is a digital project developed by Christopher Bartlett (SPC-GIZ) as part of the free eCourse "Turn Down the Heat: Why a 4°C Warmer World Must be Avoided". This digital artifact, a narrated photostory, is intended to illuminate a critical yet under discussed aspect of climate change: tipping points and critical thresholds for impacts. The target audience include the stakeholders in the Republic of Vanuatu whom are already experiencing threshold impacts of this type, but as yet have information on their sudden emergence. The artifact highlights local, and often traditionally-based adaptation strategies that are locally appropriate, helping to minimize tipping point impacts. The information presented comes from a variety of sources and publications of the Vanuatu Department of Meteorology and Geohazards, the World Bank and the IPCC.  VISIT THE ARTIFACT AT: https://vimeo.com/87065299
