VCAN NAB Climate & Disaster Book Camp

To celebrate International DRR Day (October 13), the Vanuatu Climate Action Network (VCAN) in collaboration with the NAB and GIZ is organizing a Vanuatu Climate Change & Disaster Risk Boot Camp on October 11 and 12 2016 at the (venue)
The Boot Camp provides a setting for climate change and disaster officers in a range of organizations to broaden the depth of their knowledge on issues including the Earth’s climate system, how climate is projected to change this century, practical implications of these projections for different socioeconomic sectors in Vanuatu, the essentials of calculating GHG emissions, and carbon offsets.
Participants will learn how to use climate projections to identify climate related risks and vulnerabilities, and understand how science-based information and tools are being used for strategic planning. Participants will go through an interactive demonstration to apply what they have learned throughout the camp. Facilitators for the training are from various organizations, including the VMGD, NDMO, Red Cross and other NGOs.

To celebrate International DRR Day (October 13th) coming up next week, the Vanuatu Climate Action Network (VCAN) in collaboration with the NAB and GIZ is organizing a Vanuatu Climate Change & Disaster Risk Boot Camp on October 11 and 12 2016. The Boot Camp provides a setting for Climate Change and Disaster Officers in a range of organizations to broaden the depth of their knowledge on various and relevant issues/information on the sector. While at this point the venue is yet to be confirmed, we however would like to invite you to be part of this 2 day training from 9.00am – 4.30pm (Day 1) and 9.00am – 12.30pm (Day 2). A tentative boot camp agenda and official invitation letter is included with this email.
Please note since it’s a very short notice, we would kindly appreciate if you could please confirm your attendance by midday Monday, 10th to email@example.com or by telephone 25786.
