Participatory Media Storian

There will be a Participatory Media and Environmental Communication Storian this Friday from 3-4pm organized by VCAN. We are fortunate to have at the moment, in the country an Academic Researcher in Participatory Media & Environmental background from Macquire University, Sydney, namely Usha Harris (Ms) who is happy to give a brief talk and conduct a demo on Participatory Media.

Since technologies such as phones and tablets are used widely in this day & age and in a way become a dependent tool for means of communication and dissemination of information, we could also ask ourselves how we can better utilize these devices for maximum benefit but also in terms of understanding how various forms of media including the use of phones (eg. smart phones) are used at community level/homes to increase knowledge about climate change and other environmental issues.

On that note, you are invited to join us to learn together on this exciting topic. Bring along your smart phones as you'll be required to use them for the exercises then.

It's an hour session long from 3-4pm this Friday 18th of February at Oxfam Office, Nambatri Area. Lock your space with vcan@oxfam.org.au if you’re interested.
