Countries across the globe are committed to create a new international climate agreement by the conclusion of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP21) in Paris in December 2015. In preparation, countries have agreed to publicly outline what post-2020 climate actions they intend to take under a new international agreement, known as their Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs).
The NARI-EU ARD Project of the Soil & water component is planning a training on crop water requirements and irrigation from the 3rd -4th September 2015. The training will be held at the DARD training center at the Tagabe Agriculture station. Due to the late arrival from participants from Tanna on the 3rd Sept ( 12:00pm), the training will commence at 1:30pm and follow on with a full day on Friday 4th September. A tentative program will be distributed on the first day of training.

Dear VCAN/VHT members,
Some of you may recall the Urban Vulnerability Assessment undertaken in Port Vila by RMIT university as part of the UN-Habitat Project. This report is done and RMIT wishes to report on the findings of this assessment to CSO/NGO in Vanuatu and at the same time workshop some potential objectives and actions to address the climate change needs identified.
All members are invited to attend this workshop which will be held at the Oxfam Office on Monday 16th March from 2-4pm.
As part of the UN Women’s Increasing Community Resilience through the Empowerment of Women to
Address Climate Change and Natural Hazards (IREACH) program, the Department of Women’s Affairs wishes to extend the invitation for your respective participation in a study workshop on 4th March 2015 at the Department of Women’s Affairs Office.
