Good Morning Evriwan,
Hope you are well.
Thank you to Jimmy, Wensie, Antoine and Benuel for the respective meetings this week in deepening our discussions on CertLink. I appreciate the time invested by all parties so far and am confident that we are finding our way in this innovative and collaborative process.
During the meeting yesterday with Benuel and Antoine it was suggested we meet on Wednesday 12/12/12 at 8am and suggested we move towards planning for the pilot phase of CertLink in Vanuatu
The pilot proposal was based on the following discussions:
To create, a sub portal on Nuidata.org for each interested Department/Organisation in Vanuatu that wishes to use the CertLink data system in their management systems. We would commence with the selected names (max 5) from each Department/Organisation that wishes to use the CertLink system and we would create the respective user name and password for the participants.
Prior to the actual training, we would work with each Department/Institution to understand where their specific responsibility/mandate lies ( eg Department of Ag: grower extension service, certification; Department of Industry: cocoa fermentation, drying and value add; Department of Trade: export and market integration). This would allow us to create a different data mapping and tracking matrix for each department so that they can appropriately utilise the available data required for their respective sector.
Furthermore, it would be also good to understand the Key Performance Indicators that each respective partner requires, both for internal and external management systems, to potentially evaluate/track/manage staff performance, policy outcomes and the successful implementation of development outcomes.
Thus at the Wednesday 12/12/12 at 8am meetings, the main items of discussion at the meeting would be for us to understand:
· What crops/products/commodities the respective departments/institutions wish to track through the system
· What is the current base line grower data that is available for upload and analysis, and what in what format is that data currently held.
· What would the specific key performance indicators each department would wish to track for the proposed pilot, commencing February 2013
· Names of participants of the respective departments
Please let us know if you will be able to attend the meeting. I know we are all busy, and have allotted 2 hours for the initial brief.
Thanking you all in anticipation.
Kindest Regards
andreas
