Project Launch and Implementation Support Clinic in Vanuatu –January 22-24, 2013

 

A Project Launch for the Increasing Resilience to Climate Change and Natural Hazards Project and the Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction in Vanuatu Project as well as an Implementation Support Clinic for other on-going an pipeline projects offered by the World Bank will be held in Port Vila, Vanuatu from January 22 - 24, 2013 at the Warwick La Legon Hotel (January 22) and at the Conference Room of the Vanuatu Meteorological Department (January 23 and 24).  The objective of the launch and clinic is to ensure a smooth and efficient start for the projects and to identify and mitigate any obstacles to the accomplishment of their objectives. It would provide the implementing Ministries, Agencies and PMUs with an overview of the Bank’s operations (project cycle, operational requirements, project management, disbursement, procurement and financial management) and hands-on assistance on project implementation to improve compliance, implementation and disbursements. Participants will be invited and encouraged to raise questions and issues they may find problematic.
