  1. Workshop Objective

The first component of IRCCNH focuses on strengthening PMU, both to effectively manage the project but also to design and manage further climate change related projects as well as to support other implementing agencies.

The objective of the workshop is to develop the strategies and detailed work plans to assist PMU meet these existing and upcoming challenges.

 

  1. Workshop Expected Outcomes

This will be achieved through:

  1. A thematic presentation on CCA/DRR (TBC);
  2. A presentation of the IRCCNH project;
  3. Identification of tasks to be performed by PMU within the project, and in their supporting role to other projects, implementing agencies, and institutions (NAB); and
  4. Definition of PMU working guidelines and work plan.

Expected deliverables:

  1. PMU working guidelines; and
  2. PMU 2013 work plan (and budget).

 

  1. Participants

An average of 20 people is expected at each day throughout the workshop.

Participants include:

  • All PMU officers, and project coordinators (COP, MDRR, IRCCNH, UNDP, GCCA)
  • DARD (Director, and IRCCNH Program coordinator)
  • RWS (Director)
  • DLA (Director + Manager)
  • NDMO (Director)
  • VMGD (Director) + GeoHazard (Manager)
  • Forestry (Director)
  • World Bank (Representative)

 

  1. Venue and Dates

The workshop will be held on Sunday 1st to Monday 2nd of September at Hideaway Island Resort, starting at 4pm
