Vanuatu Coral Reef Restoration Workshop
World-renown Coral Reef Scientist Dr. Thomas Goreau will be in Vanuatu from
Thursday, June 9 to Saturday, June 18 2016.
While here, Dr. Goreau will lecture to the public and lead a two-day workshop demonstrating the “Biorock” mineral accretion method of restoring coral reefs.
Dr. Goreau will lecture on Friday the 10th, (9:00am) at USP lecture hall – free for anyone wishing to attend.
The training workshop will take place at The Havannah Beach and Boat Club on North Efate on Monday June 13th and Tuesday June 14th.
During the workshop, Dr. Goreau will build and deploy an electrified coral growing structure, instructing all on how to implement the technology at their respective locations in Vanuatu.
