As climate activists, ever felt that your faith has come under attack? Can you be a climate activist AND a christian? What does the bible say about climate change? How can I use my faith as a tool to help my community be better prepared?
On Tuesday 27th of August, the Emalus Christian Fellowship is putting together a day conference from 9am-3.30pm to talk about how our fight for climate justice actually makes more sense when Jesus is at the center. We invite all members to be a part of discussions that will hopefully equip you with the tools you need to maintain your faith as a climate activist.
The event will be held at the USP Emalus campus during the day. For those who are not USP students or staff, you will need to register and pay a small fee of 500vatu as this is a student led event and the funds will go towards catering for the participants.
If you are working during the day, don't worry - there is a public lecture from 7-9pm at the International Christian Church in Bellevue. For further information, the flyer is attached to this email and you can email me on this address.
