M & E Advisor
The Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-hazard Department (VGMD) and National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) have secured funding for a large-scale national adaptation and disaster risk reduction project designed to address Vanuatu’s immediate climate change adaptation needs and mitigate natural disaster risks.
The M & E Advisor will work with the PMU M & E Officer to develop M & E Processes for the newly established NAB (National Advisory Board for Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction).
The M&E specialist will be contracted initially for 6 months and be based in the Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Project Management Unit within VMGD.
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will have:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in similar monitoring and evaluation or related field,
· Background in program,/project effectiveness
· Experience in conducting evaluations and reviews
· Familiarity with World Bank or other donor M&E requirements;
· Proven ability to mentor and train staff in all aspects of monitoring and evaluating projects;
· Good knowledge of development issues in Vanuatu;
Desirable
· Experience in the Pacific Region
