The NAB Secretariat and the Department of Environmental Protection and Conservation (DEPC) jointly conducted a Rio Conventions awareness activity for students of the National University of Vanuatu.

Journalists in mainstream media, communications officers, and members of the Media Association of Vanuatu (MAV) have participated in a 2-day workshop aimed at familiarising them with climate change terminology and issues for more effective reporting.

In March, an unprecedented twin category 4 and 5 cyclones and an earthquake devasted Vanuatu again in just 48 hours. Couple of days later, acid rain from volcanic activity left crops wilting only to be followed by a week of heavy rainfall and flooding.
